Lauren Homer

LAUREN HOMER -- MANAGING PARTNER

Lauren Homer has counseled US nonprofit and for-profit corporations for over 35 years.  Her special expertise is in the laws of foreign countries, as well as US laws, governing non-profit, faith-based, and religious organizations.  She has worked in Russia and other former Soviet republics, China, Hong Kong, and also in many other nations, including Muslim majority countries, in Africa, South and Central America, and Asia.

Lauren first founded her own law firm in 1994, under the name International Law Group.  She wished to be able to balance work for nonprofit and religious organizations with work to achieve international religious freedom through Law and Liberty Trust, which she founded in 1990.  She has published numerous articles, participated in international and US conferences, and works with others in her field, including academics, government leaders, lawyers, religious organizations, NGO's, and advocacy groups.  See LawandLibertyTrust.org and Facebook.com/LawandLibertyTrust.

Lauren began her legal career as a law clerk to a federal judge, special assistant to the first US Secretary of Education, an associate at Wilmer Cutler & Pickering and at Davis Polk & Wardwell, a partner/of counsel at Anderson Kill, Stolar Partnership, and Gammon & Grange.

Lauren is a graduate of Columbia University Law School (JD), Yale University (MA), and Duke University (BA). She is admitted in New York, the District of Columbia, and Virginia.
